Bollywood celebrities leave no stone unturned to ensure that their films are under the limelight. Such an afternoon was in Dubai Resorts when the prevailing Bollywood’s king, Shahrukh Khan, had come for the promotion of his upcoming movie Raees where he opened his heart out. He charmed the local press along with myriad fans who were present in this occasion.
Dawned up an unconventional attire, he suave the crowd and proudly revealing that the role he’s playing in Raees as a bootlegger, had made an emotional move to his life, which made him sign up for this film. He talked about his rumpled sage, desire to make people happy, and all the other questions thrown by the media. Well, no wonder why he’s one of the World’s biggest stars!
As quoted in one of the press conferences, “There’s a saying in Hindi that goes, there are certain films that you do for the money and then there are some films that you do for your soul and heart. Raees belongs to the one for my heart”, confessed Khan.
Also, following the escalated tensions between Pakistan and India, it was noted that Pakistani actress Mahira Khan went missing even for the Dubai leg of promotions. There were widespread apprehensions made on the film over Pakistani artists working in Hindi films. Films like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Raees were the most criticised ones.
However, Shah Rukh Khan distanced himself and praised the team who were exceptionally talented and without which, the film wouldn’t be what it is today. Extolling the city, he also refuted that the song Zaalima was secretly shot at the UAE.
Also adding, his sea facing Oasis at the Palm Jumeirah he added, “just coming here feels wonderful. I love hanging out in this city and you are all so wonderful”. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who’s also seen playing a role opposite SRK as a police officer, praised SRK and felicitated him as the most humble actors he has worked with.
Following the press conference, SRK met the fans outside Rajmahal theatre and took a stroll at the Parks Dubai.
