1. Falafel

Popular world-wide this dish is crunchy and oh so yummy. It is basically a deep-fried ball made from ground fava beans or chickpeas. It is a traditional Middle Eastern food which is commonly served in a pita bread, which acts as a pocket wrap, or folded in flatbread which is also known as taboon. These crunchy balls are topped with various garnishes, salads, pickled vegetables, hot sauce, or drizzled with tahini-based sauces. 

2. Shawarma

A Levantine Arab meat dish.It uses lamb, chicken, turkey, beef, veal, or mixed meats which are placed on a spit and may be grilled for as long as an entire day. During cooking, the flesh is shaved off the stack, an electric knife or a small circular saw, dropping to a circular tray below to be retrieved. It is eaten as a fast food, which is folded into a sandwich wrap along with pita bread or it is rolled up in an Azerbaijani lavash flatbread together with lip-smacking vegetables and dressing.

3. Fattoush

For all the vegetarians out there, Fattoush would be the right pick. Being a Levantine bread salad, it is made from toasted or fried pieces of pita bread together with greens and other vegetables. It belongs to a family of dishes known as fattat or fatta, which use stale flatbread which is put as a base. It includes vegetables and herbs according to season and where the vegetables are cut into large pieces.

4. Manousheh

It is a spicy meal usually served as breakfast. It is basically stretched dough, stuffed with delicious toppings like Akkawi cheese, zaatar herbs and olive oil. Look for variants topped with creamy sour labneh and minced lamb sweet jam and eggs.

5. Kebabs

 It is pieces of meat or seafood on a skewer, served with onions, tomatoes, and bell peppers. It is better known as shish kebab or sometimes shashlik, which are usually cooked in homes and restaurants, and are generally cooked on a grill or barbeque.

6. Al Harees

It is one of the most popular traditional foods available in Dubai. It is made out of wheat, meat, and salt. It is then combined with some long hours of baking, which in turn produces this splendid dish. It is mainly eaten during Ramadan, Eid and various other festivals including weddings. Do not forget to try it with some butter and powdered cinnamon. Powder it with some sugar with those with a sweet tooth.

7. Kousa Mahshi

It  is a classic dish from the list of best foods served in Dubai. It is particularly eaten as a main course which is courgettes or zucchini stuffed with rice.

8. Shirin Polo

Crunchy crust,and mouth watering sweet garnishes is the reason for its immense popularity. It consists of ingredients such as basmati rice with carrots, currants, raisins, chicken, and nuts. You should  try it with berries and pistachio ice cream.
