Dubai has an Islamic culture and much of the country has limited access to courses in law, Politics and Humanities. Students can start applying in various Universities in January, May, July to September and November. The basic criteria are as follows:
- Students applying to universities should have certified copies of relevant documents attached to the application form of that University.
- The admission procedure solely depends upon the academic background of the applicants profile.
- The University would then decide on what level would they qualify to enter.
- Once the application form is waved by the university, a confirmation letter/mail would be sent to the respective candidates.
- Visa procedure usually takes a week.
- As you are approved for the visa, one may book tickets.

1. American University in Dubai
The American University in Dubai was established in 1995 and aims at providing a complete American standard learning. It has both US and UAE accreditation for all its programs. 2. United Arab Emirates University
United Arab Emirates is the oldest University in Dubai. It is one of the government sponsored institutions for higher studies. It is one of the top ranked university in UAE and stood fourth in GCC. The university offers undergraduate as well as postgraduate programmes for Humanities, Social Sciences and Law.

3. Herriot Watt Dubai Campus
Herriot Watt University in Dubai is one of the first campuses to start in Dubai international Academic City and also the first campus of an overseas university. In here, students are exposed to positive work environment and also given a supportive structure for their learning. Murdoch University is the main branch of Murdoch University which is located in Perth, Australia. 5. University of Wollongong –Dubai
University of Wollongong was the first foreign university to open in the UAE. The programs are offered in English language. The campus is located at Dubai Knowledge Park, an educational free trade zone campus that provides facilities for training and teaching.
