There are two mobile service options available:

1. Etisalat.
2. Du.

Both the connections  depends on your requirements: standard GSM postpaid and prepaid mobile service. The difference between the operators is that Du charges by the second, while Etisalat charges per minute usage. Both mobile operators are governed by Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA).

Since it is prepaid, you will always know how much you are spending. Both operators are also providing iPhone and Blackberry services on monthly payment plans for citizens and residents. From time to time, both operators also provide special discount and promotion schemes.
