A new picturesque hanging spot opens in Al Khawaneej, Dubai. It is named as The Yard and developed by Meraas. The inspiration for this new unique place comes from the surrounding neighbourhoods known as Dubai’s agricultural heartland.
With Valentine’s Day arriving Dubai’s got a perfect place to celebrate love. The Yard becomes home to Dubai’s first Promise Bridge which is also known as a love lock.
The Yard also has a place where visitors can find an organic farmer’s market, air-conditioned and open-air restaurants and dining spaces, a bakery, as well as shops. A rustic farm vibe with a huge lake, plenty of landscaped picnic areas with remarkable architecture, interiors and landscaping create a laid-back ambience for families from the local community.
This new destination is located in Al Khawaneej area and it encompasses Last Exit D89 with 350,000-square-foot extension. There’s also an 18-metre-tall windmill, a wishing well, a water mill, decorative vintage pick-up trucks, farm animals and birdhouses which makes it a great family-friendly place.
The Yard seeks to blend a rural farm vibe with urban accents and it has a visual identity with playful murals creating a perfect picturesque place where people can hangout and enhance their happiness and share a sense of belongingness.
